In the third quarter of 2021, the Maps and Navigation category on Android in Spain saw significant activity among the top five apps. Here's a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting at around 17K in late June and peaking at 22K in mid-September, before dropping to 16K by the end of the quarter. The app’s weekly active users showed a steady increase, beginning at 444K and rising to approximately 501K by the end of September.

For SpTH, weekly downloads were relatively stable, hovering between 13K and 20K throughout the quarter. Active users started at 23K in late June, peaked at nearly 30K in August, and settled at around 26K by the end of September.

Moovit: Bus & Train Schedules saw a rise in weekly downloads, beginning at 17K in late June and reaching a high of 24K in early September. Weekly active users followed this upward trend, starting at 90K and increasing to 128K by mid-September, before stabilizing around 117K towards the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a consistent performance in weekly downloads, ranging from 11K to 21K. The app’s active users fluctuated slightly, with a peak of 210K in mid-August before declining to 175K by the end of September.

Lastly, Cabify experienced variable weekly downloads, from 11K in late July to a peak of 19K in mid-September. Active users saw a significant increase, starting at 175K and climbing to 248K by the end of the quarter.
